The third floor of the building will offer a range of services, including hi-tech audiovisual facilities, learning resources and local studies. A relaxed atmosphere, with space for meetings, events, displays and the library cafe.

Learning Centre
Information, advice and courses for anyone wishing to undertake learning at a pace that suits them, delivered in a friendly and informal environment.

Our wide range of courses can be studied in the Learning Centre, at home or even in the workplace. The courses available range from introductory 'tasters' through to full qualifications.
Connexions
Advice on matters of concern to 13-19 year olds. The library will provide young people with a convenient and accessible location for face-to face discussions with Connexions advisors.
Music and Arts
A section of stock to complement the Mediatheque centre.
BFI Mediatheque
The BFI Mediatheque is a digital jukebox featuring many of the best, the rarest and the most extraordinary titles from the BFI National Archive. You will be able to simply log on at one of our viewing stations, choose from over 1000 complete films and TV programmes, and watch them free at the click of a mouse.
Conference Area
The dedicated conference room will accommodate up to 80 people for meetings and presentations. The whole floor has been designed so that it can be opened up to accommodate larger events as required.
Cambridgeshire Collection
The Cambridgeshire Collection contains a comprehensive range of material relating to the former historic County of Cambridgeshire and the Isle of Ely.
Exhibition area
A lively area for regular events including children's story times, displays and author talks.
Cafe
Visitors to the Central Library, Cambridge often spend several hours in the building. The cafe will offer the opportunity to take a break and enjoy a drink or snack without having to leave the building.
CDs and DVDs
Classic and modern films in a variety of DVD formats alongside our well-loved CD collection.
Toilet
An accessible toilet will be available on each floor and there will be baby change facilities on floors one and three.
