Welcome to the website for the new Central Library, Cambridge.
We're delighted to report that the library is now open for business and that we've welcomed our first customers into the revamped Central Library.
The Cambridge Evening News have said of the library:
'The building in the Grand Arcade could not be more different from the traditional look and feel of libraries.
Gone are the brown carpets and big enquiry desks, replaced with colourful flooring, bright seats, and roaming staff.
'... On the ground floor there is a "quick pick" paperback section and an impressive children's library.'
